Fairview, located in Vancouver, British Columbia, is a dynamic and vibrant neighborhood within the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area. It offers excellent accessibility, with a convenient public transit system and numerous bike lanes. Residents can easily access a variety of grocery stores, restaurants, cafes, and clothing stores within walking distance. The neighborhood has a diverse feel, with quiet, tree-lined streets and bustling main streets for entertainment and socializing. With approximately 10 green spaces nearby, it is easy for residents to enjoy the outdoors. The housing options primarily consist of small and large apartment buildings, providing a mix of options for residents.

No matter what type of character home buyers prefer in a neighbourhood, Fairview is a reasonably good option. Finding things to do in this area is very easy. There are often crowds of people around, a wide variety of entertainment venues can be found nearby, and with its a few bars, there are options for nighttime activities. Main streets, including Broadway, are excellent for those who like going out. The noise levels in Fairview are quite low, as the streets are usually reasonably calm. There are about 10 green spaces close by for residents to discover, such as Charleson Park and Vanier Park, and they are very well-situated, which makes them easy to get to from the majority of locations in Fairview.

Around 60% of the population of this neighbourhood rent their home and 40% are owners. In this neighbourhood, many dwellings are small apartment buildings, while large apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. Roughly 30% of properties in this area were constructed between 1960 and 1980, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This part of Vancouver offers mainly two bedroom and one bedroom homes.

A general and a specialty grocery store is always only a short trip away in Fairview. Cambie Street is among the best streets for groceries. Moreover, there are over 100 restaurants and about 20 coffee shops to enjoy in this part of the city. Regarding education, parents and their kids will find that no matter where their house is located in this area, daycares and schools are nearby. Besides public schools, there are private primary and secondary schools.

Fairview is an excellent area with regards to getting around without a car. Many of the homes for sale in this part of Vancouver are located in places that are very suitable for people who travel on foot; running common errands is especially convenient without the use of a car, and a variety of businesses are especially close at hand. Riding a bike is very adopted in Fairview as bike-share stations are rarely more than a few blocks away, and the cycling network is good. With a multitude of nearby rapid transit stations with access to the Canada Line, and approximately 20 nearby bus lines, homeowners can count on public transit to move around in Fairview. However, cars are a rather limited transportation option in this part of Vancouver as accessing a place to park is not very easy.
